SOLAR PHOTO VOLTAIC SOLUTIONS
Over the course of the last few years, the price of installing a solar system has slowly become more affordable, and, with the return of more agressive load-shedding, something of a necessity.

I have 20 years of electrcial experience, including 8 years installing backup systems and 3 years installing solar systems.

After many successful installations, including a few offgrid solutions, I am now confident that I have in place a reliable solar solution for my clients.

After installing the more budget end of the market inverters, namely Kodak & Voltronic, I have moved away from these due to the multitude of issues that started arising from the cheaper build quality of the units.

I am now only installing Sunsynk inverters. I have had an 8kW unit installed at my own property for a year now with no issues and it runs most of my property offgrid with 16 panels and 2x Hubble batteries.

I am happy to supply & install most lithium battery makes, however the cheaper (Pylontech) batteries do come with limitations in that you can only draw out of them half of their total rated capacity at any given time.
This can lead to overloading of the batteries and shutdown issues.
The lithium batteries that I install are all capable of providing the full amount of power out of them at any given time.
They also have a 90% depth of discharge (DoD) and carry a 10 year warranty, with 15 year design life.
One of the advantages of lithium ion over lead acid, is that they have a greater state of discharge than lead acid, giving you more time running your installation off of your batteries if mains is not available.
Deep cycle batteries cannot discharge below 50%, and will need to be replaced every 2 years.
They cost around half the price of lithium ion batteries.

The lithium batteries I supply, are able to be paralleled , meaning that large battery banks can be built up for additional backup power.

The Sunsynk inverters have a BMS port, which means that they can talk to the lithium ion batteries' brain, and can get the exact state of charge from the battery in percentage, just like a cell phone, so that extremely accurate control is possible when setting up the inverter to run your installation.
The batteries' BMS (battery management system), is responsible for looking after and monitoring the battery.

The solar panels I use are either JA Solar or Canadian Solar branded. Both are extremely reliable and well known tier 1 brands.
All solar panels are mounted with industry leading Renusol fixings.
Both brands of solar panels come with a 12 year product warranty, and a 25 year performance warranty.
